The first part of this tour begins in front of Pula Amphitheatre – Arena, the symbol of the town, where you will get on the bikes and follow your guide.
You will ride along the coastline, pass through interesting ex-military zones and thick pine forests with gravel trails, all the way up to fort Monte Grosso where you are going to take a short break and enjoy the breathtaking view of Pula’s bay, shipyard Uljanik and Brijuni Islands enclosed by crystal blue sea.
Afterward, you will continue cycling downhill through the deep forest and rocky gardens towards Štinjan bay and fort Punta Christo where you will swap to a flat asphalt road.
You will enjoy easy rolling along Fažana Riviera, a seafront promenade between thick pines and the sea, connecting Puntižela and Valbandon, passing by pebbly beaches, resorts, and campsites with a fantastic view of Brijuni Islands.
At Fažana, this charming little fisherman’s settlement also known as the pearl of Istria’s west coast, you will have a refreshment break and a walk through its picturesque stone-paved streets.
Then, after this leisure seaside bike ride and sightseeing from Pula to Fažana, you will cycle towards the campsite Bi Village from where you will hop on a boat. The friendly excursion boat crew will do their best to make you enjoy on FUN-filled panoramic cruise all-around 14 islands of the Brijuni archipelago.
We’ll cross Fažana strait and sail close to the luxurious yachts berthed in the harbor of Brijuni, surrounded by hotels and a golf course dating from the Austro-Hungarian period when Brijuni was the meeting place of the European and world jet set.
On the northern edge of Veli Brijun, in an enclosed area stretching over 9 hectares, lies the Safari Park, and if you are lucky enough you might spot wild animals near the shore.
In the strait between islands Veli and Mali Brijun, you’ll have the opportunity to hand feed seagulls, as they glide along with the speed of the boat.
We’ll sail near the coast of small island Vanga, and try to get a close-up view of Marshal Tito’s glassy, open-plan villa, shielded from view by a bamboo plantation. During Tito’s time, Vanga island was a strictly prohibited zone and not accessible to tourists at all. This „secret jewel“ is nowadays a summer presidential residence.

On the route to the southernmost cape of Veli Brijun island, where the lighthouse Peneda lights the way to sailors since 1877th, you will have the possibility to see three other Tito’s villas from distance; Villa Jadranka, Bijela Villa, and Villa Brijunka.
After a pleasant cruise around the pearls of the Brijuni National Park, lunch will be served (fish, meat, or veggie menu) on the boat, and after that, you will have free time to relax in the shade or sunbathe on the beautiful pebbly beach of Island of Sv.Jerolim.
On the island, there are showers, a restaurant, cafes, barbecues, and freshwater. Even though it is inhabited, there are donkeys that live there along with peacocks and a large colony of seagulls.
The waters around the island are rich with marine life, which makes it a perfect place for swimming and snorkeling, while diving and fishing are strictly prohibited.
Brijuni Islands ranks as one of the loveliest archipelagos in the Mediterranean, unfortunately, our boat needs to leave this oasis of peace and get back to the busy summer of Pula:(
